Virgin Atlantic Airways (VS) is a British Airline headquartered in Crawley, United Kingdom. Founded in 1984 as British Atlantic Airways, the airline is operated by Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited and Virgin Atlantic International Limited from its main bases at the London Heathrow and London Gatwick Airports.

The Manchester Airport is its secondary base while it also operates flights from Glasgow and seasonal flights from Belfast. It flies to more than 30 destinations, of which six are domestic. International destinations include points across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, North America and the Caribbean.

Virgin Atlantic uses a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing wide-body aircraft, which consists of 10 Airbus A330-300, 11 Airbus A340-600, 12 Boeing 747-400 and 7 Boeing 787-9 planes. It operates three-class cabin configurations - Upper Class (Business Class equivalent), Premium Economy Class and Economy Class. It is the first airline to offer personal entertainment for all passengers in all classes.

Virgin Atlantic's frequent-flyer program is styled 'the Flying Club'. It has codesharing agreement with the following airlines: Air China, Air New Zealand, Delta Air Lines, Flybe, Jet Airways and Singapore Airlines. Its frequent-flyer program, styled 'the Flying Club' is available in three: Red, Silver & Gold tiers.
