Museum of National History
The museum houses over 75000 specimens making it the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Its worth a visit as its also home to the second largest mounted elephants and a large collection of exhibits such as wildlife, bird, insects exhibits as well as historical and mining displays.
Matobo National Park
Occupying a total area of 44, 000 hectares, the park is a UNESCO Heritage site and it has black and white rhinos safely inhabiting its terrains. The park offers tourists a diverse package attractions and activities such as hiking and a wide range of wildlife. It is also the site of Cecil Rhodes' grave
Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage and Research Centre
Also worth a visit is the Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage and Research Centre, a home for orphaned, sick or abandoned wild animals. There are lion, leopard, cheetah, black rhino; many species of antelope and a large colletion of birds.
