Highly revered by three major religions, the city of Jerusalem is as old as history itself. The beautiful city receives lots of tourists who flock in to explore its numerous cultural and religious attractions and the first point of call is the fabled Old City. The relatively small area is a living museum of busy markets, religious structures and cobbled pathways. 

Walking around the Old City, you will feel the influence of the major groups that have inhabited the city since inception: Armenians, Christians, Jewish and Muslims. Some of the highlights of visiting the Old City are; manicured Armenian gardens, Arab souks, the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Dome of the Rock and many more.

Central Jerusalem is however characterised by broad avenues, busy pedestrian streets, squares, cafés, restaurants and a bustling nightlife. Irrespective of your purpose of visit, Jerusalem is one city that will surely give you one new and extraordinary thing to discover - something out of your itinerary.

Cycle into the mountains

A bicycle trip in the Judean Mountains surrounding Jerusalem is a good way to burn some fat. This is for those that want to see Jerusalem in a really unique way instead of being stuck in a bus, car or an expensive taxi.

Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Considered the holiest church in Jerusalem, it was built over the sites believed to be were Jesus' crucifixion, burial and ressurection took place. Pilgrims from all over the world troop to the church to explore the history of christianity.

Every year, Jerusalem's lights festival attracts thousands of visitors from Israel and abroad who stroll the picturesque lanes of Jerusalem's Old City enjoying beautiful scenes while its walls and streets are illuminated with stunning light art installations created by local and international artists. Its a fantastic sight to behold as Jerusalem's Old City is creatively decorated with innovative and captivating artwork. 

Ice Skating at Cinema City

Enjoy one of winter's most popular activities at Jerusalem Cinema City’s 400 square meter ice skating rink. The attraction is located at Yitshak Rabin Boulevard and entry fee is between 30 and 40 New Shekels. The facility is open to families from Sundays through to Thursdays; while on Fridays and Saturdays it opens from 9:00am to 2:00pm and 6:00pm to 12:00am respectively.



Israel's climate is described as a hot-summer Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers while the winter climate is mild and wet. January is usually the coldest month while July and August are the hottest months.


New Shekel is the official currency. ATMs are widely available while credit/debit cards are widely accepted. Some tour operators might charge in US Dollars.
