About Air France

Air France was formed in the year 1933 as a result of a merger of Air Orient, Air Union, Compagnie Générale Aéropostale, Compagnie Internationale de Navigation Aérienne (CIDNA), and Société Générale de Transport Aérien (SGTA). The French flag carrier headquartered in Tremblay-en-France, is one of the largest airline operators in the world with its worldwide scheduled passengers and cargo services.

A founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance, Air France runs a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing jets on long-haul routes and uses Airbus A320 family aircraft on short-haul routes. The airline also offers a mix of three and four cabin setups for international long-haul flights, they are; La Première (select aircraft), Business, Premium Economy and Economy and all cabins have personal screens with audio and video for passengers.

Loyal flyers can enjoy many benefits under the airline’s frequent flyer program. Called Flying Blue, it rewards members with points based on miles travelled and class of service. The program is divided into standard (Ivory), Elite (Silver) and Elite Plus (Gold and Platinum) statuses.
