Basilica of Our Lady of Peace
Located in Yamoussoukro, it holds the record of being the largest church in the world. It was modeled after the Basilica of Saint Peter in Rome, whose size it intentionally surpassed. The nave is big enough to seat 7, 000 people and with standing room for an additional 11, 000 people.
Comoe National Park
Comoe is the largest and oldest national park in Côte d'Ivoire. Here you can witness lions, waterbucks, hippos and other animals roam about in their natural habitat.

La Cascade Waterfall
The waterfall is a pretty awesome sight to behold. Crashing into a bamboo forest, the falls are easily accessed via a paved walkway which offers a truly magnificent walk through the forests. The neighbouring villages of Biankouma and Gouessesso offer hikers a feel of the rural inhabitants of Ivory Coast. They are naturally kind and friendly, so expect to get a warm welcome here.
Business
If you are thinking of doing business in Ivory Coast, note that French is the language for business- English speakers need not to worry as translators are widely available. Make sure you are punctual if you are attending any meeting.
Office hours include: Monday to Friday 0730 - 1200 and 1430 - 1800 while Saturdays 0800-1200.
Ivory Coast's main exports include cocoa, coffee, timber, rubber, cotton, palm oil, pineapples and bananas. While its main imports are food, consumer and capital goods.
Communications
There are mobile phone networks available in Ivory Coast and they have roaming agreements with international mobile operators. The country's internet connectivity is also very dependable. Many internet cafe's offer internet service in major cities in the country.
Language
While French remains the official language of Ivory Coast, the local languages include Yacouba, Senoufo, Baoulé, Betie, Attie, Agni and Dioula (the market language).
Money
CFA (Communauté Financière Africaine) Franc (XOF) is the currency for trasaction. It comes in denominations of XOF10, 000, 5, 000, 2, 000, 1, 000 and 500. Credit cards are widely accepted.
If you are looking to exchange currencies, they can be exchanged at the airport as well as at main banks and hotels.
