Historically known as Canton, Guangzhou is the capital and largest city of Guangdong province in China.The City of flowers as it is fondly called by residents is one of the birthplaces of China’s ancient Silk road and serves as an important national transportation hub and trading port. Located along the south coastline of China, the city acts as the political, economic, scientific, educational and cultural center in the Guangdong area.
