Located about 200km Southeast of Greece's mainland, Santorini is an island in the Southern Aegean Sea. It is blessed with crystal clear blue seas, rocky landscapes, dazzling natural beauty and amazing beaches, and forms part of the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands. The volcanic islands, classically known as Thera and officially Thira, could be divided into two parts, the western side and the eastern.

The municipality includes the inhabited islands of Santorini and Therasia & the uninhabited islands of Nea Kameni, Palaia Kameni, Aspronisi, and Christiana. The western side of Santorini is where the volcanic caldera is, villages like Fira and Oia, and most of the hotels with amazing views of the caldera, volcano, the sea and sunsets. Most of the hotels are built on the caldera, have flights of steps and are specially oriented to couples and honeymooners.

The eastern side resembles the rest of the Greek islands in the Cyclades. Most of the island's hotels are closed during winter. They open during or after Greek Orthodox Easter (April or May) and usually close by the end of October. July, August and September are considered high season by other Greek Islands. The capital, Fira is the main hub of activities; it is here you find lounge bars, cocktails bars and clubs. The
