Two rooms which share a common door is known as an interconnecting room. It is used by most families.

What does it mean to have an Adjoining Room?

Two rooms which share a common wall is called an adjoining rooms used by groups.

What does it mean to have a Duplex Room?

A duplex is a room which is been spread on two floors connected by a staircase.

What is a Cabana?

A Cabana is a room which is near a water body or beside a swimming pool.

A king bedroom is a room with a king sized bed.

What is a Standard Room?

A Standard room is the cheapest in the hotel and usually the most basic room type offering. It occurs a single (king sized bed) or a double (two queen sized beds). It also includes basic amenities which include but is not limited to a television, coffeemaker, climate control, telephone, desk, chair, closet and private bathroom. Added offerings may vary based on the star rating of the hotel.

What are Moderate Rooms?

These are usually bigger than standard but still not deluxe. The moderate room may offer a better view and the type of furnishings than the standard room.

What is a Superior Room?

Superior rooms are hotel rooms that are better or ‘superior’ to a standard room in both size and the furnishing offered. It can also mean that it offers a better view. Check with the hotel website or helpdesk to find out what is included.

What are Deluxe Rooms?

These rooms are better in location, view and furnishing than both the standard and superior rooms. Extra facilities may have been added which include complimentary bathroom products, a spacious writing desk, flowers and bathrobes. The higher your hotel rating the better the extra facilities added. Please note that a deluxe room might sometimes be lower in category than a superior room

What are Executive Rooms?

Executive rooms are designed to provide more luxurious atmosphere similar to both superior and deluxe rooms.

What is a Junior Suite?

This is typically a larger room with a separate seating area.

What does a booking a suite mean?

A suite is like a micro apartment inside the hotel. Also called a deluxe room, the suite is much larger than a standard. It has bedrooms, living area and may have a kitchenette. Suites are used by businesspeople and families looking to stay in the hotel for an extended period of time. The best type of suite is the executive or presidential suite. They are very spacious with the best views and amenities that that hotel has to offer. In many hotels, the presidential suite is on the top floor or penthouse. This suite is the most expensive room in the hotel. Standard suites are more expensive than a standard room of course but may cost only slightly more than the triple or family rooms. Hotels such as Embassy Suites have only suites available to customers.
